In this rapidly-shifting age of computers, the advent of the Internet has effectively restructured all aspects of daily living, most notable of which is our mode of communication. Transfer of data and access to information could be completed in what is now known as "real time," downplaying the role of distance in the interaction equation. In order to harness this potential, the Municipal Government of La Trinidad set out to reformat the Municipality's official website.

We dedicate its rebirth to the 113, 713-strong citizenry from which blossom a fusion of multi-ethnicity uniquely our own. It forms part of our unwavering commitment to engage our people. And it is the voice of this uniqueness we want heard in our website. It is this same voice we want echoed in our plans, projects and in every decision we make.

A well-informed citizenry easily translates into peaceful and prosperous communities. The provision of up-to-date and comprehensive information relative to their welfare and concerns – projects, the Municipality's financial situation, proposed and passed ordinances, among others – empowers the people. It enables them to actively and intelligently participate in their affairs, which is what the website encourages them to do.

We are deeply committed to boosting our tourism industry by offering our hand in friendship and showcasing our wonderful landscapes, particularly our Strawberry Fields, Rose Gardens and four communal forests lush with the scent of pine and the greenest of grasses. Sustainability and concern for precious flora and fauna are the norms in the development of our forests into world-class eco-parks.

Our website has expanded its contents and coverage, ranging from quarterly reports of the various offices to the latest weather updates. We have made its pages more vibrant and appealing to secure more widespread interest and attention. It is our sincere hope that public response from far and wide would be forthcoming. So that genuine people participation would find meaning in its pages.
We revived it with the welfare of the people in mind. We will sustain it propelled by the same thought.

*** I have learned from Mayor Abalso himself that not only is he a mountain person, but is one of the pioneers in climbing the mountains such as Mount Pulag in the early 70's and 80's not only as a means of recreation but as a means to enlighten with the realities of life in the boondooks.... that is he has a lust for nature and lust for for peoples' welfare.***
